On Easter Monday 2004 the Whittakers went to Audley End House in North Essex and met up with Kathryn's sister Deborah, her husband Tony and their daughter Hannah. Audley End House is a large stately home run by English Heritage and as we had all joined up to English Heritage, it was free to get in. In the grounds was a craft fair including a dog display team and some birds of prey from a rescue centre. Unusually for an English Bank Holiday, the weather was really good too!
