As members of English Heritage we decided to visit some sites in and around Hyde Park in the heart of London. We are lucky in as much as whereas tourists might have to travel half way round the world to see these places, we just hop on a tube train and can be in central London within an hour. The sun shone and we had a good time - seeing the soldiers on horseback passing through the Wellington Arch was a real bonus. By the way, from the top of the Wellington Arch you can peek into the the back garden of Buckingham Palace!
